Brit(ish) by Afua Hirsch

You may recognise Afua as the social affairs editor of Sky News, or for her journalism in The Guardian. Brit(ish) is her first book and represents an important intervention in the conversation about race and identity in Britain today. It is about our awkward, troubled relationship with our history. It is about why liberal attempts to be `colour-blind’ have caused more problems than they have solved. It is about why we continue to avoid talking about race. In this personal and provocative investigation, Hirsch explores a very British crisis of identity.

We are excited to be holding an event with Afua on 15th January. Click here for more details.
